What Is The Risk?
Published on January 23, 2015
I was asked this question some time ago and it came up in a session again today. The question was in response to setting the goal to achieve absolutely everything in life that is possible. To stand at the proverbial cliff and soar off into space. To really, once and for all find out the answer to the question, "What is really possible for me?" The question posed was, "Isn't that a risk to set your goals so high, given the possibility of missing the mark?" Here is the risk. Not going for it. To leave untapped potential inside your body, especially in light of all we are provided in this country is a tragedy. To know that everything we seek in life rests inside our imagination, transferred to determination and realized through the laws of probability. I believe very strongly in the power of motivation through passion. Fear is what drives us to stray from risk. If that fits with your make-up I would like you to take a moment and consider the fear of this: "What if you don't challenge yourself? What if you don't take chances? What if you never actually get to see what you were capable of?" One day, at the end of life you will know the feeling of having given it all, or having wasted your potential. Jim Rohn once said, "The pain of discipline is small. The pain of regret is huge". The real risk then is not to. Have an excellent day. Be well, Randy Taylor
