What Goes Down Comes Back Up
Published on October 06, 2014
Do you believe? Therein lies the question facing us all on a day-by-day basis. Do you believe your business will turn around? Do you believe your health will improve? Do you believe spring will arrive? Do you believe the boy or the girl will call? Do you believe most importantly in you? Our belief system is the main engine that drives activity and has the power to turn potential into reality. Disbelief is what grinds action to a halt. Just a little over 2 years ago disbelief was rampant. It was rampant over the state of the economy and the markets and the pundits were shouting "DEPRESSION" from the hilltops. Gone were the lofty days of profit when the markets topped 14,000. Just a few years ago the TSX hit an all time low clocking in at 7591. The truth was that at that time there were bargains galore in the market but most ran to put what money they had left in a mattress. "Will they recover to levels of 14,000?" was the question of the day. "Not for a very long time if ever" was the reply. Well, driving back from a meeting today I caught the stock report and even with being down nearly 100 points, it has rebounded and then some. What a great lesson for us all. Just when you think the darkness has pushed aside the light, know this. Light is always stronger and will come back to shine again. Whether you are struggling with business or finance or health or the weather never loose your belief. If you keep pushing forward and you keep believing it will change. It will turn around. As certain as there have never been two nights in a row this will remain to be true. What goes down comes back up. Have an excellent day.
Be well, Randy Taylor
