It's A Walk In The Park

Walk In The ParkFinding the sweet spot of what makes us happy. That's what we are all in search of.  Trying to define it while we swirl about in a world of influence can be the great challenge.   Influence over choice is what can take a very simple decision and make it complicated and surreal.  "Should I want this house?  If so why?  What will my friends think if I buy something else?  What will my co-workers say?  How will my family react"?  This kind of influence meddling goes on in most aspects of our lives.  The truth is that "what others think" matters to us on some level and ultimately it centers around wealth and our position in the pecking order of finance.  When money becomes the primary focus we can, well, lose focus.  This is not repudiation against having nice things and making plenty of money.  At the service of others we are all deserving of our fair share.  The focus I am talking about is the focus on those things in life that really matter and likely have not a thing to do with money.  I was taught this lesson the weekend.  On a whim we took our kids across the street into the school parking lot and playground so our son could hone his scooter skills and our daughter could run around.  There's a playground and full blown climbing equipment in the back.  We had a blast.  Our kids had as my wife's Bubbi used to say "The best good time".  Walking home we talked about how much fun we had all had.  I know it won't get written up in the local papers and our neighbors didn't line the street and stare in envy as we walked back home but here's what I knew for certain.  They didn't have to.  We didn't do it for them.  We can all do this whenever we want.  What we want. After all it's just a walk in the park.  Have an excellent day.   Be well,   Randy Taylor     Buy The Books!
