Find A Hand To Hold And Never Let It Go

When all is said and done there are few things in life that carry as much weight as our family and friends. Those are the pieces of the fabric that hold all of this together and make it all worthwhile. Over time and distance and difference we loose some along the way. I know I certainly have and if you asked I would not be able to exactly tell you why. I do know that my life would be richer with them. Hindsight is always a great place to pull up a chair. Tonight we had dinner at my wife's parents. Cousins were there with their little ones.  One of the little girls was just a couple of months younger than our daughter who just turned 5. Before long they were running and playing and laughing and were as my wife's grandmother used to say, "Having the best good time".  Perspectives - The Power of Why by Randy Taylor of Taylormade Leadership @TheWinnerWithin (Social)When we got up from the table they looked at each other, locked hands and strolled away jabbering on in some language none of us could understand.  Seeing how cute this looked we all jumped up with our cameras. Not long after my wife and I were in her dad's office saying our goodbyes. There at the computer sat her dad and his brother. They are two of the closest men I have ever seen.  Always telling each other jokes. Always sharing new finds. Always thrilled to be in each others company. The contrast of the evening was striking.  First watching two little 5 year old's taking each others hand for the first time then an hour later seeing two men in their 70's who were still holding on. There is a great lesson to this I now can see. Find a hand to hold and never let it go. Have an excellent day.

Be well, Randy Taylor CalltoAction_TwoBooks
