Overview
Beryl Markham once wrote, “What makes death so hard is unsatisfied curiosity”. While we all struggle to understand why we have not achieved personal, professional or financial dreams, we are unaware of the negative imprinting that is standing in our way. For most, the internal belief mechanism that was once so sharp as a child has become dulled to the point of inactivity and acceptance. Punching a clock mindlessly, eating the wrong foods, watching countless hours of television and becoming numb inside are now situations we have become accustomed to. But … what if I told you it did not have to be that way? What if there was a way to regain the tenacity, spirit and persistence you once had as a child? The truth is, it is all still inside of you and is waiting to be tapped into. Right now, at this moment, you can choose to overcome any obstacle in your way and open the door to your life’s work and passions.
Tabula Rasa is Latin for the words blank slate. It is the notion that individual human beings are born “blank” (with no built in mental content), and that their identity is defined by events entirely after birth. We were all once beautiful and wide-eyed babies ready to learn what the world had to offer. As an infant learning to talk, walk and crawl, we were completely unaware of societal limitations. Before repeatedly hearing the word “can’t” over and over again, we were able to accomplish feats that would astonish the mind. By following the philosophy outlined in the book Life Before Can’t, you will be able to rediscover that time and rediscover your dreams.
While giving a speech following his first attempt to climb Mount Everest, Sir Edmond Hillary turned to the picture of the mountain on the screen behind him, raised his fist and said, “You are as tall as you are ever going to get, but I will continue to grow.” By taking the personal journey outlined within the pages of Life Before Can’t, readers will be moved to once again become the lead directors in their lives and grow to their fullest potential. Life Before Can’t will provide the necessary tools to identify the negative conditioning standing in the way and the mental and physical steps and intentions required to live life to the fullest.

Developing the philosophy of Life Before Can’t has come from personal experience. As a child born to a life of poverty, parental alcoholism and life on the streets, I was all too familiar with the effects of negative conditioning. From a young age, I had the knowing that I had a choice to make. I knew that I could use my thoughts, determination and voice to climb out from under a life of despair to one of passion and hope. By using the principles I outline in my book, I was able to achieve my dreams and climb to the very top of my field in broadcasting and the media. The hardships I faced early on in my life were instrumental in developing this philosophy. Now, it is my goal and passion to share this information with others.
Whether your goal is to learn a new skill, improve your career, build new relationships or uncover lost passions and completely change the course of your life, anything and everything is possible. By applying the philosophy of “Life Before Can’t” doors will open and possibilities will unfold that will create a new outlook on life that will have you believing once again. Hold onto your dreams, they are about to become your life. Good luck on your personal journey.
